ESIPP partners showcased their research, which included a presentation by David Preece about the ESIPP project and our findings so far: “Developing ecologically valid parent education for families living with autism in a part of Europe”. The Autism-Europe’s 11th International Congress in Edinburgh  brought together more than 1,750 self-advocates, parents, professionals, carers and other interested parties from around the world (including Europe, Asia, African nations, South America, USA and Canada, Australia and New Zealand) from the 16 to 18 September.

Preece briefly explained the aims of the project as well as what the consortium has done so far. Preece invited the auditorium to visit the poster of the project as well as to visit the stand of ESIPP partner Autism-Europe in order to get further information, business cards and freebies from the project.

Under the motto “Happy, Healthy and Empowered”, Autism-Europe’s 11th International Congress brought together more than 1,750 self-advocates, parents, professionals, carers and other interested parties from around the world (including Europe, Asia, African nations, South America, USA and Canada, Australia and New Zealand) from the 16 to 18 September.

The triennial event, organised this year in Edinburgh by the National Autistic Society in partnership with Autism-Europe, is dedicated to sharing advances in practical and scientific knowledge about autism to as wide an audience as possible.
