BIOGRAPHY

Nefi Charalambous – Darden is a Special Education Teacher. She has been trained in TEACCH, PECS, MAKATON, ABA, Portage, Sensory Integration, and licensed with EarlyBird program. Nefi has been working for the last 17 years at The Ministry of Education and has taught in both mainstream and special education schools as a Special Education Teacher. Later on she worked as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) at The Ministry of Education, as a staff trainer at Cyprus Autism Association, staff trainer at Pedagogical Institution of Cyprus, and as a contributor at The Technological University of Cyprus (TUC). She is currently working as a Special Education Teacher in mainstream education with autistic children with the Ministry of Education.

She is a co-founder of Autism Assessment Support Practice Center (AASP) and she has worked with the Center for the last 14 years. Through the Center she has delivered trainings to parents, schools, professionals and children.
